You know a movie's going somewhere when it starts out with James Garner reading a story to Gena Rowlands in a nursing home. Based on the book by Nicholas Sparks, this movie follows two young lovers, Allie and Noah (Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling), who meet one evening at a carnival.
